.:. Hey, what up? OK, I need to rant for a few... We have been working on marketing some sites, and I am just fucking pissed off about a specific law that I think does more harm then good.
One way of advertising the site is to sign up webmasters as affiliates, and let them advertise the site. When they make a sale, they get half the money. In the past, webmasters of Paysites have given affiliate webmaster free content in the form of images and short vid clips to help them in their advertising campaigns. When you find those free galleries
of 15 images all over the internet, those are basically ads for a paysite. In the past, to prove the models in these free images were 18 or older, the affiliate webmaster had to link to the paysite webmasters 2257 link. (The info for the govt. the check out the models ID's) Well, this new law says that we paysite webmasters must now provide the ID's of the models to the affiliate webmasters if they are to use the content on their site. Does anyone else but me see the safety issues here?
This is the internet, where anyone can be an aspiring webmaster. Anyone can build a site, sign up for an affiliates program, and start sponsoring. This means that anyone can get at my girls information, and I am just not cool with that. So how am I to market a site without giving affiliate webmasters any content to work with? (Cause I sure as shit ain't giving out my girls info to just any motherfucker that signs up) Seriously, anyone that gets a fancy for a girl on the site can just sign up as a webmaster, and
then get the girls drivers license!!! Shouldn't the government be looking out for these girls? Shouldn't we be concerned about their privacy? Evidently not.
